Alex Hummingson is a transatlantic vocalist, songwriter and performer shaped by beauty, upheaval and survival — blending soul, blues, original songs and reimagined repertoire with story, grit and stage presence at the center.
Her work moves across Europe, the UK and the US, with performances spanning London, Stockholm, Warsaw, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. Equally at home in intimate rooms, late-night clubs and grand orchestral settings, her live style blends dramatic phrasing, ballad instinct, wit and vocal improvisation.
Her shows move between soul storytelling, Broadway-tinged ballad performance and fiery blues improvisation — voice-led, emotionally direct and built for the stage. Alongside her music, Alex’s work spans poetry, visual art and performance, often merging disciplines into immersive live and exhibition formats.
In 2026, Alex launches Been Around, You Know – On Parole Tour: Chapter I, a new live chapter for the songs, stories and voices that survived. Rooted in soul, blues, stagecraft and improvisation, the tour begins at World Pride at The Foremother’s Café in Virtual Reality on the ENGAGE platform.
Alex also gives talks and workshops exploring self-image, media narratives and cultural pressures - drawing from her work in performance, writing and lived experience.
